Great Wild Turkey Meals To Cook After You Finish The Hunt

Once you bag a wild turkey, there are numerous things you can do with meat including making it into a meal for you and friends or family to enjoy.

If you’re tired of just frying up your catch, here are few delicious recipes for fun dishes you can create with your wild turkey.

Deep Fried Turkey Nuggets

For this dish you will need:

  • One turkey breast
    • 1-quart buttermilk
    • Peanut or cottonseed oil (enough to fill your pan)
    • Seasoning

Start by cutting up your turkey breasts into to chunks or strips. Then marinate the pieces in buttermilk for 8 to 12 hours. Once that’s done, fry in peanut or cottonseed oil at 350.

When the pieces are golden brown place them onto a plate covered with a paper towel to soak up some of the oil.

After that proceed to season them with your favorite seasoning and then enjoy.

Bacon Wrapped Turkey Tenders

The ingredients for this meat heavy entrée are:

  • 1 tbsp. salt
    • 1 tbsp. pepper
    • 1 tbsp. garlic
    • One turkey breast
    • 1 lb. thick-sliced bacon
    • One bottle Italian salad dressing
    • One bottle Ranch salad dressing (optional)

Start by trimming up the breast to make sure there isn’t any fat on it. Then, take the breast and rubbing it with salt, pepper and garlic. Pour the Italian dressing into a Ziploc bag and let the breast marinade overnight.

The following day, wrap the breast in bacon and then tie the bacon together to make sure it doesn’t come off.

Then place the breast on the grill over a low heat and cook until the bacon looks crispy. Once you take the bacon-breast off, slice it into pieces and proceed to dip into the ranch dressing and enjoy.
