About our New Mexico Bear Hunts

 

JACO Outfitters, LLC offers New Mexico Black Bear Hunts. Experience a New Mexico Black Bear Hunt with JACO Outfitters, LLC. Sit over a water hole, an apple orchard, spot and stalk, or let the dogs assist in your New Mexico Black bear Hunt.  We offer Black Bear hunts in Northern New Mexico in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains on both private and public hunting grounds. Have an opportunity to take a black bear in one of its many color phases:  black, brown, cinnamon, or blonde



 

New Mexico Black Bear

New Mexico Black Bear Hunt Dates/ RATES

  • August 16-31 – Rifle or Muzzleloader
  • September 23-Nov 15, 2013 Rifle or Muzzleloader
  • September 1-22 – Archery

$2950.00

(Any 5 Consecutive Days)

** A combination elk and bear hunts can be arranged during the fall 2013 season

 

What is included:

  • Lodging and Accommodations
  • All meals during the hunt plus dinner prior to your hunt beginning
  • 2x1 Fully Guided Service
  • Capping of the animal for trophy preparation
  • Professional Photos of your trophy

 

What is Not included:

  • State Hunting License –Non-Resident $325
  • The client is responsible for transportation to and from hunt location
  • Motel accommodations following your hunt
  • Personal gear /medication / amenities
  • Camouflage, boots, weather appropriate attire (lighter clothing for archery)
  • Binoculars, range finder
  • Choice of Weapon
  • Taxidermy Fees

Itinerary

  • Arrive day before hunt begins in the afternoon ~ 3:00 PM
  • Check in to your accommodations
  • Go to the gun range with guides to check the sites of your weapon.
  • Possible drive through by the hunt area if time permits
  • Dinner the day prior to the hunt beginning / Continental Breakfast each morning
  • Guides pick you up then it's off to go hunting
  • Lunch provided each day of the hunt
  • Dinner following each days hunt

 

Over-The-Counter Bear Hunting License

An over-the-counter Bear License with valid carcass tag may be purchased from license vendors, Department offices, online or by

mail using Form 3. One carcass tag comes with each license. (NOTE: Licenses and carcass tags purchased online will be mailed within two weeks of purchase). Hunters must purchase a Bear License AT LEAST TWO DAYS BEFORE HUNTING and must possess a valid Bear License and carcass tag while hunting in the field.
